Every kid wants to be the next Tiger Woods. Where will he come from and
how will he find his way into golf?
For many of Philadelphia's youth, the answer is, “it's not going to
happen”. But, for the kids selected by the Police Athletic League
for their interest in golf, the possibility does exist. They had the opportunity
to participate in the Kids-on-the-Hill program in which they learned about
the game from PGA Golf Professionals in a summer program at various golf
facilities in the area
.
Not only did the kids learn golf's fundamental skills; they were also introduced
to its rules, its etiquette and its history. This skill set translates into
values for now and for the future.
The goal of Kids-on-the-Hill is just that: learn about the game and learn
about life. We think the program does just that.

The Board of Directors is most grateful to the PGA Professionals and to the Officers of PAL who made those eight weeks an important event in the life of the kids.
