Eighty-nine youngsters from the Philadelphia and Abington Townships PALs began the program.

Each student is provided with two golf shirts, complete with collars. White shirts identify kids 9-10 years of age; Grey shirts for 11-12 years; Blue for 13-14 years and Red for those over 14. The students stay in their age group as they move from station to station.

Eight instructors are scheduled for each session. At Island green Country Club four stations are set-up with two instructors per station. Normally half are PGA members and the remaining looking into a career in golf. All are paid for their services.
